This past week the January 2012 ABCOPAD Haiti Mission Team spent the last 10 days in Grand Goave Haiti.  The team spent time cleaning up rubble created by the devastating earthquake of 2010.  The two year anniversary of the earthquake was earlier this month, and despite the fact 24 months have past only about 80% of the clean up has been accomplished and very few homes for the homeless have been built.  Along with moving tons of rubble by hand, the team erected or finished numerous rubble homes.  These homes are unlike anything previously built in Haiti.  These houses are earthquake resistant as well as high quality, providing safety, security and a structure capable of providing stability for a family whose world has been rocked by disaster as well as poverty.  Along with the construction of homes, the keep built relationships and shared Jesus love with a hurting people who know most of the rest of the world has forgotten them.  Below are links to the Facebook blog of the mission team along with the photo album created on-line capturing this missionary endeavor.  For all those that have been supporting the team in prayer, Thank You.  The team will return to the US on Saturday.
