| A1: Presidents | Betsy Hale | This workshop is for first-time presidents of local groups or associations or for presidents that haven’t attended this workshop in several years. It is a time to share with the other attendees about what has and hasn’t worked in the meeting process. Also addressed will be parliamentary procedure. |
| A2: Personal Development Sorry, the workshop is Full | Sue Fitzgerald | Everyone is invited to come and share as we discuss ways to grow in our trust in the Lord. How do we increase our faith? Do you have a resource that has been particularly helpful to you or to your women in the area of “trusting God”? Please share it with us. Sue will also have several resources to share that you can see and evaluate. |
| A3: Church and Community | Mary Smith Jones | Caring for our Children in Poverty. Reference: Hope for Children in Poverty, Sider/Unruh, Judson Press. We will discuss chapter 12 and develop an action plan for our church and community. |
| A4: Love Gift | Edie Seigle | What is Love Gift? How is it used? We will be exploring how to present LOVE GIFT and how to get supplies. |
| A5: White Cross | Lois Glading | Bring your questions; learn what's new with White Cross, and receive the new White Cross promotional materials. |

| A7: How do I plan a E.W.E Retreat? | Myra Goss | Would you like to invite your association or church women to spend time with God and be energized to be stronger in faith? Come and explore several possibilities. |
| A8: Hands on Mission Project – Bandage Rolling | Sign-up or just come and join us to help roll bandages for the Congo. This room will remain open all weekend. If you have some spare time, check out our Mission Project Room. |

| B1: Mugs & Muffins | Sue MacDonald | Part 1 of a 2-session workshop. Bring a coffee/tea Mug and I’ll bring the Muffins! In this DOUBLE SESSION workshop, you will experience a “Fellowship Event” idea you can use for the women of your church. The event is designed to deepen the relationships of the women and to hear the needs of local church women. Knowing the needs of your women will help you develop a more effective women’s ministry. PLEASE DO NOT sign up for this workshop if you attended the workshop last year. Don’t forget your mug! |
| B2: Biblical Storytelling | Rev. Richard McIntyre | Stories have a way of working their way into our lives and changing us from the inside out. This is especially true of Biblical stories. In this workshop, participants will discover the importance of story and storytelling; learn the fundamentals of internalizing (not memorizing) and telling a story; and learn of resources that can help them grow as storytellers. NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! |
| B3: You Can Do More, So Much More | Thelma Schaller | When asked to give a devotion, do you hunt at the last minute for an appropriate poem or scripture? Designing, writing and presenting a devotion can be a creative partnership with the Holy Spirit and a blessing for you and others. Together we will get our creative juices going, brainstorm ideas, receive pointers, and perhaps do some creative writing. |
| B4: Caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s | Carole Fulmer | This is an overview of Alzheimer’s and other memory impairments. We will discuss ways of dealing with, maximizing the positive, and increase understanding. Guidelines for individual and community response to memory impairment as well as communication skills will be given. |
| B5: Self Defense Beginners | Daphne Matthews | A self-defense class teaching basic techniques to defend yourself in various scenarios. No previous experience needed (any level of activity welcome and class will be adapted to the level of ability in attendance). Come dressed in loose workout attire (t-shirt, sweatpants, etc. NO TANK TOPS) The instructor is a second degree black belt in Choi Hong Tae Kwon Do. |
| B6: Open those Shutters! | Lynn Nelson (The Democratic Republic of the Congo) | Come name the barriers that keep us personally shut off from more of God's light and explore ways God has opened windows in Missionary Lynn's life and in the lives of folk in Kikongo, DR Congo. Discover how you can be a more courageous ambassador for Christ. |
| B7: Finding Harmony: Blending Contemporary and Traditional Music in Worship | Lorraine Steinhoff | Does your Church still argue over what kind of music to use during the Sunday service? Then here's the workshop for you! This workshop will deal with the many issues facing churches today regarding the styles of music used in worship services. Through example and discussion we will learn about the history of this seemingly eternal conflict and ways to create a harmonious service while incorporating various musical mediums. Come with ideas and an open mind. |
| B8: Over the Edge! Beyond Your Church’s Doorstep | Jennifer Schwartz & Beverly Rugletic | Go beyond the edge of your church and into your community! Learn how to develop a local ministry and outreach. In this workshop, you will learn to develop a Jesus-like heart for your community, assess community needs, build relationships, and organize effective local ministries. |
| B9: How to Support our Missionaries | Chris Marziale | This workshop will help you understand the importance of keeping in touch with your Special Interest Missionaries and how you can support them financially, spiritually and personally. |
| B10: Birdhouse Plaque Craft Sorry, the workshop is Full | Paint and decorate a wood birdhouse wall plaque to hang in your home as a gentle reminder – even as the tiny birds trust God daily for their food, shelter, and care, we also can lay our burdens on Him and TRUST Him to comfort, sustain, and lead us when we are ‘at the edge’. | B11: Iris Folding Greeting Card (LIMIT 10) Sorry, the workshop is Full | Beverly Erskine | Iris Folding is a paper folding technique that originated in Holland. We’ll use beautiful papers, folded into strips, completing a pattern to make a special greeting card for you to take home as a Conference remembrance. Bring a pair of scissors, your imagination, and $3.00* for supplies. Let’s get folding and have some fun! |
| B12: Beaded Jewelry Sorry, the workshop is Full | Bianca Pennhollow & Beth Arment | Explore the world of beading, one of today's most popular hobbies. Learn the simple craft of stringing beads on stretch cord to make a lovely bracelet for yourself or a gift. Everyone will make a silver Tiffany-style bracelet, and then you will have time to design your own bracelet from a variety of beads. Cost: $2.00* |

This session is for those who are more athletic, who took the beginners course previously, or who have other self-defense experience and feel comfortable going a little more advanced. | C3: A Pocket Full of Joy | Myra Goss | Do you have a funny bone that just begs to do some tickling? Come and learn some clowning around basics that can start you on the way to a joyful ministry. |
| C4: Good Grief! | Rev. Karen Selig | In this workshop about grief and loss we will look at relevant scriptures and talk about learning to trust God in the midst of mourning and loss. This session is not only for those who have suffered a loss through death, but also for those dealing with other significant losses such as unemployment, divorce, chronic illness, separation from loved ones, etc. |
| C5: Step by Step: The Spiritual Journey at the Edge of the Promised Land | Leslie Callahan | This workshop will explore the meaning of living on the edge of a new stage or new area of life and ministry. Particular attention will be given to transitions related to age and geography. |
| C6: Come to the Edge of Your Comfort Zone | Jennifer Schwartz | Learn how to get involved in short term mission trips! This workshop will provide resources for preparing your heart for mission work, choosing a trip that’s right for you, and planning your own mission experience. When we go on short-term mission trips, we encounter God and other people outside of our culture. God has something incredible in store for you at the edge of your comfort zone! |
| C7: The Joys and Challenges of a Pastor’s Wife | Carolyn Frischkorn | This workshop is specifically designed to encourage Pastor's wives. Join us as we share moments where life and ministry have been challenging, as well as those times when the call has brought deep joy and fulfillment. This workshop is an invitation to come to the edge, take a step, and trust deeply in our one and only source, Jesus. |
| C8: The Gospel According to High School Musical | Eric Krzihanzel | How does the infiltration of current "clean" music and movies affect a young Christian's life? What is the fine line and how do we help young people get caught up in Christ and not in this world we live in? Practical helps for all ages. |
| C9: Conference Choir Rehearsal | Mary Jo Laupp | Join the song leader and the Conference choir for rehearsal. The Conference Choir will perform during the worship service on Sunday morning. |
| C10: Soaring to Financial Freedom in Christ | Linda Cassel | Financial and Estate Planning that will empower women. This workshop will teach financial planning that can “Reflect the Heart of Jesus” in our giving (stewardship and legacy planning). Financial concepts in estate planning, wills, trusts, and charitable giving will be addressed in a fun yet informative setting. |
| C11: What Does Healthful Eating Look Like? | Brenda Daelhousen | Nutrition is part of wellness, but it is more than food. Somewhere in the maze of low-carb, trans-fat, and dietary supplements, we struggle to find healthful eating. This workshop defines basic nutrition terms and uses the latest wellness nutrition guidelines to evaluate your eating habits. It looks at what we as humans need for a healthful eating experience, and how our society helps and hinders. Topics will include the nutrient groups, calories, hunger and satiety, disordered eating in a disordered society, diet vs. non-diet, and healthy eating environment. As people of God, we are commanded to take care of our bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit. God has provided in His marvelous creation everything that we need, but He has also given us the freedom to choose whether to give those needs to our body, as well as our mind, heart, and soul. |
| C12: Disaster Relief | Bob Swan | Disaster Relief quick response Ministry and Kingdom Builders — Come and learn how the American Baptists of Pennsylvania and Delaware respond to assist people affected by severe storms, fire, tornadoes and floods. Find out how you as American Baptist Women fit into this ministry and can serve the Lord through disaster relief. The ABM extend an invitation to the AB Women’s Ministries to be part of this exciting and important ministry. |
