2011 Personal Development Spring Board Report

Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your Personal Development Coordinator for the past two and one half years.  The report of counterparts at Conference of their usage of the materials I developed and sent  was encouraging.  They reported the materials and activities did promote spiritual growth and support the theme, "Women Destined For God's Purpose". Attending and sharing devotions at Spring and Fall Board Meetings and conducting workshops at Conference were wonderful opportunities to
fellowship with sisters in Christ's from various communities.

My last challenge to counterparts is to read scripture for a specific purpose. The first target is identifying figures and shadows of Jesus in the Old Testament. One is motivated to know more about Him by the promise of revelation in the old covenant and His incarnation and promised return in the New Testament. Jesus, Himself, enlightened the travelers on the Emmaus Road by revealing His identity in the books of Moses, the prophets and the psalms (Lk.24:27, 44).  We, too, will gain more knowledge and understanding to distinguish Christ, our Lord, from the anti-christ's today and tomorrow and escape any heresies.

Currently, I am praying and preparing resources for the Conference workshop for Personal Development at Shippensburg with the theme "reJOYce in the Journey". With the challenges of life, we must learn to rejoice as we travel our individual journeys. God's ways are cheaper than anti-depressants and psychiatrists and more personally rewarding.

Following the transition of Elijah Crumity, I became president of ABWM-PBA while serving you. In September, I will be able to devote my time to developing this branch of ABWM. ABWM-PBA is budding and interested in missions in the church, community and elsewhere.  Human Trafficking, education for HIV-Aids, Children and Poverty, Total Wellness, Homelessness, Food Pantries and Missionaries are at the top of their outreach lists.  Supporting programs for local Board and Association Meetings,  establishing a start up fund for AB Girls, sharing Regional Project Information, encouraging usage of National publications and motivating attendance at Pa.-De. and National Conferences are my ways of maintaining a viable relationship between the two Associations.  Pray for our blossoming.

"Now unto Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us."  Eph.3:20
