| Keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus is the only way we can run the race and not grow weary or faint. He must be our focus if we want to soar on wings like eagles. One way to keep that focus is to study His Word, day and night. Have you ever noticed how spending time with Jesus changes you from the inside out? I really notice a difference in my attitude when I haven’t spent time with Him! So…. are you ready to Come to the Edge and TRUST? It begins when you keep your eyes fixed on Jesus! |
| It has been such a joy and delightful privilege to serve as your Coordinator of Personal Development for these last three years. I appreciate your many prayers for me and for the women of our region as we have worked together. It has been a time of growing in the Lord for me and of learning to trust Him in all things. I hope that some of what I have shared with you has been helpful in your walk with the Lord, too. Wynetta Dukes, our region nominee for our new Coordinator of Personal Development, is a woman who loves the Lord and I’m sure will do an excellent job in serving you. Please keep her in prayer as she begins her new duties. |
Since September 2007, I have had the joy of leading two “Water Walking” retreats with the help of my dear friend, Patti Seth, of Warren, PA. We have traveled to two extremes of the region: Monongahela Assoc. and Dover, DE with our message. We have another retreat scheduled for October 2008 with Oil Creek Assoc. and possibly with Bradford in Spring, 2009. It’s not too late for your group to schedule a retreat. Check the E.W.E. web page for more information. I want to give my personal thanks to Diana Shutt for getting our AB Women’s web page up and running. It’s great to have the latest information on what’s happening in our region among our women. Please be much in prayer for our region’s Women’s Conference, June 27-29, with no graduation date conflicts! Our new location this year is Bucknell University, Lewisburg, PA. The food is delicious and there’s much less walking. Come, enjoy a weekend retreat and get to know our Lord a little better. Everyone is invited to my Personal Development Ministries Workshop on Friday afternoon at conference. We will be discussing ways to grow in our trust in the Lord. Bring your own ideas to share that have worked for you. |
| Continue in prayer for an end to Human Trafficking in your community and around the world. Keep our region project goal of $15,000 for “Breaking the Chains: Slavery in the 21st Century” before your women. |
| Consider a mountain-top experience at Green Lake, Wisconsin, at the National Women’s Conference, August 9-15. Scholarships are available. |
