Board Meeting Report – White Cross & World Relief – April 2011
2010-2011 Quotas
The White Cross year of 2010-2011 has come to a close (as of March 31). Local church White Cross reports for the year should now be in the hands of the Association White Cross Coordinators. The Association reports are due to me by April 30.
Chris Marziale sent an update on the status of Overseas White Cross as of January 31, and I included that update in my recent Communicator article.

After all Association reports have been received, I will assign quotas to the Associations for 2011-2012, and materials will be ready for pick-up at the Region Conference in June. Chris Marziale, the White Cross Coordinator for International Ministries, will once again share the latest information and answer questions during our White Cross Workshop at Conference.
Roller Bandages for Congo
We will again have a White Cross “Bandage Rolling Room” at Shippensburg in June. The room will be supervised during all three workshop sessions, so that women who have never rolled bandages before will be able to learn the “hows” and “whys” of this important White Cross labor of love. The room will also be open throughout the entire weekend so women can drop in during their free time to tear, sew, and roll bandages.
Special Thanks
At the Fall Board Meeting I reported that one association had declined a large portion of their Overland Quota. I’m happy to report that the ladies of the Centre Association offered to fill that quota. Thanks, Centre Association!!
On the Road
In September, Chris Marziale and I attended the Welsh/Wyoming Association ABW Ministries meeting in Wilkes Barre. We had a wonderful time of fellowship with the women. Chris shared some powerful presentations of the blessings received by people all over the word through the White Cross ministry. Most of the women had never rolled a bandage and were excited to learn. They enthusiastically tore sheets into strips, learned the proper way to sew them together, and practiced rolling them using my favorite bandage roller – a pencil!
Serving as the Coordinator of White Cross and World Relief for the past three years has been very rewarding. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to fellowship and work with my fellow Board members. May God richly bless each of you as you continue with this important work for Him.
